After some cleanup and fixing a few things, we’re proud to announce that the first beta (test) version of CGDevTools is ready!

As mentioned before, we started with a major cleanup of the codebase, removing old and deprecated code – specifically for IW 12, 14, and 15 – which are no longer supported. This cleanup is still ongoing.
The reasoning is simple: there’s no way to keep moving forward while maintaining compatibility with versions like IW 12, which was discontinued over 12 years ago.
While an IntraWeb 12 app can be ported to IW 16 with ease, a lot has changed internally, making it very difficult for third-party component sets to stay compatible across versions. -
CGDevTools will remain compatible with the latest IntraWeb 16 branch at all times. For each new IW 16 release that breaks binary DCU compatibility, a matching CGDevTools build will follow.

The current CGDevTools build uses the same jQuery version supported by IntraWeb 16, specifically v3.6.4.

Latest build from Atozed is version 5.0.0 (currently, Release Candidate 2) and is compatible only with IntraWeb 16.1.6.
- Supported IDE’s are: From Delphi/RAD Studio 10 Seattle up to Delphi/RAD Studio 13 Florence. Existing CGDevTools customers using older Dephi versions, please get in touch and we will evaluate.

Release candidate builds have a time lock and will work for 45 days from the release date (not from the installation date).
The goal is to allow existing users to install both IntraWeb 16.1.6 and CGDevTools 5.0.0 and test their existing applications. This test build must not be used in production!

You don’t need a CGDevTools license to test this build. Any developer with IntraWeb 16.1.6 can install and try it, even if they’re not an existing CGDevTools customer.

Before the end of the 45-day period, we’ll release the final version of CGDevTools. The final build will require a valid – and separate – CGDevTools license which will be purchased directly with CentralGest. The details will be communicated soon.
