Handles/sessions/Thread

Hi Team
one of the client application developed in version 15.3.5 is running very slow in the last one week. It is running as Indy SA service. In the code I couldn't find out any reason. Yesterday the client System Engineers asked below queries.

In the TaskManger number of handles for the exe is very high , why?
In the DynaTrace tool number of sessions and threads are very high, why? 
In the Cache folder, number of sub folders(sessions) and very high, why? why it is not get deleted when logout?

I'd need some more information. They say all those numbers are "very high" but I'm not sure what "very high" means without any context or other numbers to compare against.

How many handles, sessions, files and cache folders? What was the previous use?

If the number of sessions is too high, have you considered the possibility of a DoS attack or something similar?

For all other readers: I've been following up with @pgnair the occurrences of the server. Nothing conclusive so far. I believe there is something (network related) going on.... anyway...
