OpenSSL 1.1.1 support planned?
#1
Hi,

Support for OpenSSL "1.0.2" will end on December 31, 2019.

When will Indy support "1.1.1"?

Thanks.

The problem is that the SSL libraries have also completely broken backwards compatibility. Remy has looked at it, but I dont think he has a current ETA. Volunteers welcome...

Yes, we are well aware of that.

There is no ETA at this time, but the Indy team member who previously worked on Indy's current OpenSSL code and then left has recently come back to look into updating Indy for 1.1.x for us. But like Kudzu said, additional volunteer effort is also welcome, too.

I understood that it was in the stage of considering.

I can’t help with my ability, so I ’m sorry to leave it to you, but I ’m hoping that it will be handled.

It is being handled, we just can't give an ETA at this time on when it will actually be ready for use.
