EMBT basically goofed up. They planned to remain bin compat and announced such but didn't fully test it and then had to release a patch to fix that. This unfortunately is not the first time they've done that.
Once you install this special fix up patch then you can use any IW release built for .1 but not the special one we had to do for .2. Alexandre can tell you which version is which.
