But I just really wish that FPC team could deliver things a little faster. Take this for an example: https://forum.lazarus.freepascal.org/index.php?topic=59468.0 The anonymous functions support has been available in the development branch for 16 months already. The next FPC official release will be 3.2.4 (also been planned for more than 1 year now and it will *not* contain the anonymous functions support yet). So, being an optimist here, I don't see the anonymous functions support being in the official FPC/Lazarus distros in less than 1-2 years time. they could at least have a beta section where users could download and try the new compiler (without needing to build it themselves)... anyway |
