How can I stop drop down menus from being hidden by Region control?
Yes, as Mikael pointed out, please set zindex property of controls and see if it works. zIndex property of top controls should be higher than the ones from background controls

I attached a bmp image. I tried to setting menu region zindex to a high value
If you have the menu inside a region. Please check Region.ClipRegion value
Zindex and ClipRegion are not helping with this advanced grid from TMS
