You need to find out what's the HTTP status code of each file that fails. For me it is clear that it is not your IW application that's failing but something in the device browser. We need to know what.
There is a new version of Firebug that can be used with newer browsers. Maybe you should get it working with your application so you can inspect the responses.

Look for the IWModalWindow in our IW demos. There is one case that shows exactly that
