Dunno about her situation, but the info given out here was consistent with published info on the virus all along. She may not have \got it\ but the rest of us did. Yes, I kept up with it from the beginning. The bottom line is that initial cutoff of Asian travel (which some of the public screamed about) was correctly timed. The same goes for European travel halts. Both of those bought a lot of time to prepare. The current \quarantine\ efforts (stay home, etc) would have been a useless burden to everyone two weeks ago, it is critical now that the virus is about to \flash\. If we had tried this two weeks ago (or earlier) people would have started ignoring the guidelines right about the time the virus started widespread infection. FWIW, that still hasn't happened but will RealSoonNow. The timing on all the actions has been very good, much better than I thought the feds would have been able to do. Has the public understood this thing is coming? As evidence look at the empty store shelves for weeks as people prepare to shut in for a few weeks. All through this thing I've seen VERY good response. In addition to medical folks in my family, my neighbors are also medical folks. I have five (5) doctors and as many nurses living on my block, and we visit daily so I have a clue what info they see. I mentioned earlier that the TX governor had issued tight guidelines. Elsewhere in the country some folks are freaking out. Here in TX the governor shut down bars but authorized home delivery of mixed drinks, so we're good.

Ahhh, paper. Press? The thing is, you can't go by what the press said was said, you have to actually listen to what was said. Sad but true here in the colonies. I've got a college roommate that sends me breathless posts about \What Trump Said {yesterday, etc}\, but I happened to have watched the speech and it's NOT what he said.
