How's SendFile() locking your file? it shouldn't. What's the error message you are getting, if any

SendFile() creates a file stream with these attributes: fmOpenRead or fmShareDenyWrite

it means that there is no way it is locking the file unless you are trying to write to that same file at the same time

you can send the same file from different threads at the same time and it won't lock the file
