out of interest, what soured you on Unigui?
2018-04-12T12:09:51
didnt watcth the vid, but every impl of MVVM I've seen is a horride mess. MVVM is fine.. but the impls..... WPF is so bad that you cant do anything but MVVM without massive complex work arounds, and the way it does MVVM is a huge mess too.
2018-04-12T12:10:04
Its the reason I gave up on WPF.
2018-04-12T12:10:19
After spending 10+ years in it and battling it the whole time.

Too much javascript in order to have an acceptable performance and get rid off the \mask\ that our glass. The fact that I was one of the two in the community that are fans of constructors overloading, but really never made a complete system with,I want to convert legacy system on an hourly basis, but wit Unigui, and javascript it seemed like rewriting, due to javascript.I mean 65% to 80% of code reusing, but not enough to me.

About uniGUI
2018-04-12T12:18:37
Many users have reported serious perf issues to us regarding Unigui.
2018-04-12T12:19:12
They report that under even medium load it begins to bog down.
2018-04-12T12:19:41
I think many devs under estimate the amount of complexity in IWs core and take it for granted.
2018-04-12T12:25:12
Of course IW 14 scales 5 times more, but uniGui suffers the same problems thst IW,users that dont understand what muktithreading is,that create 200 components and hide 180 of them.that open o tabs 9 clientdatasets.when the user did not ask for and so on.but if you do this in unigui its a problem bigger than in IW
2018-04-12T12:26:42
and the samples more or less encourage this.users creates countless tabs and left them open.
2018-04-12T12:27:41
oh yes. have a user on the forum now who is being hostile to me becuase I said he didnt understand threads right.....
2018-04-12T12:27:50
was just trying to help him......
2018-04-12T12:28:52
He was trying to use Synchronize among other things....
2018-04-12T12:30:03
I worked in a company you probably know the type: link name.in 2009 they were still using iw 4 to handle 800 users using 12 dll, because of memory leaks of custom code
2018-04-12T12:30:24
After I fix the bugs it took 1 dll
2018-04-12T12:30:26
IW makes it very easy so we get many noobs - which is GREAT. But when a small % of them think they are gurus.. those ones are hard to support.
2018-04-12T12:30:46
IW 4? Thats really old.
2018-04-12T12:31:21
And in 2015 I Wrote a parser so they went to IW14
2018-04-12T12:32:02
IW4 is 1990s.
2018-04-12T12:33:06
Because from iw4 to iw5 there were breaking changes.and they tought the poor performance was an IW fault not theirs. Now they live IW
2018-04-12T12:33:24
love IW
2018-04-12T12:33:43
breaking chagnes suck, but at the same time it allows forward movement.
2018-04-12T12:34:01
With 17 the paralell modes will make it seemless to move.
2018-04-12T12:34:16
From Iw4 straight to iw14 a record.kkk
2018-04-12T12:36:20
But it was really use to write the parser.
2018-04-12T12:39:46
But from 6 and up IW level of compatibility between version are an standard.
2018-04-12T12:42:11
wow, that is a huge jump
2018-04-12T12:48:24
Iw4 delphi 6 and tms 7 during 17 years
2018-04-12T12:49:11
Banks are hard to make movements
