What component we´re going to use in the server side to produce Json,I mean REST DATAWARE(as an example) have to have one component in the server and one in the client(the same component set),it will be an Intraweb specialized one,or anything that produces JSON,hust for the sake of curiosity.

We have to look at various options based on compiler support. At worst we have to build it ourselves. Building it ourselve is super easy, we already handle URLs and JSON is really simple to generate. Parsing a little more complex, but there are plenty of open source libs out there and later compilers have it built in to the VCL.

I myself don´t understand how JSON became so popular,and why people say its lightweight since it has the names of the fields for each line,protobufs would be much better,but they neer get implemented in the browsers;

Right now we are running against DataSnap, KBMW, and even some node and PHP REST servers.

JSON came about becuase XML was so overly complex. but JSON isv ery chatty too and has some pretty irritating limitations as well, which is why ACORN was born which is what IWML uses. In fact we can even use ACORN for REST and its far easier to parse than JSON.

Returning to the component subject, I think RestDataware was born to simplify things,and make thing more \Delphi \ alike, that was what it producers allways say,I dont have experience with Rest,so cant give an opinion about, but after you have sold 200.000 copies you can think about having the two options,a generic and an specialized maybe.

JS \standards\ arent worth much- they last what, 6-12 months before they replace them with something new?

Microsoft is Throwing a lot of money in WebAssembly because they completely lost the battle to JavaScript frameworks,so WebAssembly is the only hope to e their Razor(see Brazor),I think WebAssembly will the future of everything including IW.SInce they´re becoming a services vendor instead of a software vendor, I think the intention is to tie people to things that will only run on Azzure.

In the end they will sell you the software a thousand time.??
