I realised that this gives you the local ip where the server is running, but your question seems to refer to the public IP

right

before I send the email, i need to know how to build the link to give to them, as the IW server can be moved from one machine to another, and the public ip can also change.

well you could try just opening a new session
2022-08-23T09:32:36
without having to send ip address

well, it's sort of an automated section, whereby the user has chosen \I forgot my password\, I then create a unique ID and send them an email with the link.
They click the link and it allows them to change their password within a certain amount of time.

well why not run your app on a static url
2022-08-23T09:35:07
hmmm. i guess I could set it one way, and then route it another.

why is your public ip always changing?
