2018-04-25T14:00:36
then run it
2018-04-25T14:00:38
then reinstall iw
2018-04-25T14:02:02
ok, got it. let me do those steps
2018-04-25T14:03:11
question, to uninstall 14.2.7, I just uncheck the box on the install program, correct?
2018-04-25T14:04:38
there should be an uninstall option in the start menu group or within control panel. I use source, so I dont remember exactly for the installer.
2018-04-25T14:06:30
ok, found in program - uninstall and uninstalled it
2018-04-25T14:07:05
ran the bundle removal tool as well. now reinstalling 14.2.7, correct?
2018-04-25T14:08:47
yes
2018-04-25T14:08:58
ok, installing now...
2018-04-25T14:12:06
ok, same result. Went back and uninstalled using Windows Apps & Features window, then ran bundle removel tool and it found nothing to remove. Does that sound correct? Here is what is stated:
2018-04-25T14:12:07
Process finished.
IntraWeb bundled files were not found. Probably they have been already removed.
2018-04-25T14:12:51
look in packages, see if they are registered but not loaded. For some reason on some systems this happens and we've never been able to determine the cause.
2018-04-25T14:14:37
looking now
2018-04-25T14:16:56
I see nothing in the installed packages related to IW. Is that whee you want me to look?
2018-04-25T14:18:38
The only packages staryting with I are Indy 10 Core and Protocols, Internet Explorer Components and IP Abstraction...
2018-04-25T14:20:45
find the design pkg fro Intraweb and try to manually install it. It wil be in the IW dir. Im looking or the name
2018-04-25T14:21:10
dclIntraweb_14_D10_2
2018-04-25T14:23:13
looked for this file mask on entire C drive *Intraweb_14*.* and found no such file
2018-04-25T14:23:50
Would this be present after I install 14.2.7?
2018-04-25T14:24:00
Where did you install IW to? Yes... should be .dpl
2018-04-25T14:24:25
What anti virus program do you have?
2018-04-25T14:24:42
OK, let me re-install 14.2.7 now, then look
2018-04-25T14:24:56
Make sure Delphi is not running when you install.
2018-04-25T14:25:31
This is where the app will install:
2018-04-25T14:25:33
C:\\Users\\wsv01\\AppData\\Roaming\\IntraWeb XIV
2018-04-25T14:25:51
Are you selecting roaming or is it selecting that?
2018-04-25T14:26:06
It is selecting that, want me to change?
2018-04-25T14:26:20
if its doing it, leave it... I havent installed in a long time since I use source.
2018-04-25T14:26:57
BTW: it is stating that folder is present and asks if I want to use that folder anyway
2018-04-25T14:27:22
should be fine, its from last time you ran it
2018-04-25T14:28:02
ok going thru install now
2018-04-25T14:28:21
yea, lots more folders being added to that URL
2018-04-25T14:31:09
OK, did a search for dclIntraweb_14_D10_2 and found 4 files with these extensions. bpi, dcp, hpp, lib
2018-04-25T14:33:02
Are you using Delphi or C++?
2018-04-25T14:33:37
Also, just to be sure, under the New ITems window that is shown when creating a new application there should be a Intraweb selection on the left, correct?
2018-04-25T14:33:43
Delphi
2018-04-25T14:35:37
Im going to have to tag type: mention_name Alexandre user_id: 499541870 . He does the installer. I have to unfortuantely leave now to pick up my kids and will be gone for a bit. Alexandre is in a different timezone and I suspect is sleeping right now, but should be online in a few hours.
2018-04-25T14:35:49
Before I go, what AV do you have?
2018-04-25T14:36:15
AV?
2018-04-25T14:36:20
antivirus
2018-04-25T14:36:43
Oh, the VM I am using has no AV on it at all and the FW is off
2018-04-25T14:37:15
It sits behind a secure FW and other things
2018-04-25T14:37:23
on the LAN
2018-04-25T14:37:50
ok.sorry have to go now... but type: mention_name Alexandre user_id: 499541870 will pick up. Something isnt right on the install... and we have lots of users using 14.2.7 so he will have to determine what is unique about your install.
2018-04-25T14:38:10
OK, so check back in a few hours?
2018-04-25T14:38:37
It's 3:39pm here in USA EST
2018-04-25T14:38:59
yes, he can tag you when he comes online, but stay a member of the chat.
2018-04-25T14:39:58
ok, thanks so much
2018-04-25T14:40:01
bye
2018-04-25T14:46:20
If you or anyone else is listening, I got it to work by simply adding the bpl to the install packages.
