I disagree with a lot of what EMBT has done, but they have thrown a lot of resources behind it that others would not have even if not how we may have liked. Under EMBT Delphi has stabilized and entered into a path where we are even seeing steady (albeit slow) growth which is far better than the freefall towards rock bottom we saw before.
2018-04-12T10:01:29
I'm far more concerned about Idera over EMBT than EMBT itself.

This mr Athanas made some good decisions at first, cutted many people(bad for them but good for the final price),distributing a free version, but thing slowed down again.
2018-04-12T10:25:09
I expect IW17 will shake the coke.??
2018-04-12T10:25:48
More than that... will be like dropping mentos in it.
2018-04-12T10:26:02
Maybe they will even try to buy us again.
2018-04-12T10:26:02
??????????
2018-04-12T10:26:33
Or you buy them ,after selling thousands of copies.
2018-04-12T10:26:43
Every time Nick is there they try to kick us out completely. When he isnt there relations are good, and sometimes they even offer to buy us but thats been a while.
2018-04-12T10:27:22
Even one time Nick was there they tried to boot Indy.
2018-04-12T10:28:36
Was so glad last time he left, because there was an effor to kick us out again. But like magic, as soon as Nick was gone, the effort stopped and relationship went back to normal.
2018-04-12T10:28:59
He denies he was behind any of them, but \do the math\
2018-04-12T10:30:39
I don´t think it was magic, me and others have left messages, saying that writing an MVC framework woul turn things expensive for nothing,I was wrong and promoting uniGUI,but said that third parties like Atozed RemObjects are the reason Delphi is still alive.
2018-04-12T10:31:12
3Ps are a big part of Delphi's staying power.
2018-04-12T10:31:26
Unigui first versinos were built on IW
2018-04-12T10:31:44
UG denies it, but I have forum messages where he said it himself, and the first builds had IW .dcus in it.
2018-04-12T10:32:00
Wool2woll ,Nevrona is the worst companiw to work with but their Rave Reports code base are awesome.
2018-04-12T10:32:10
Since then a few core units have basically been cloned and the IW units removed.
2018-04-12T10:32:21
I used to be part of Nevrona but left in early 2001.
2018-04-12T10:33:10
Jim is a great guy (Nevrona), but I think they got screwed in their bundling deal in Delphi and there were some other factors as well.
2018-04-12T10:33:28
Didn´t know that.
2018-04-12T10:33:29
Ray from woll2woll is a great guy too.
2018-04-12T10:33:56
IntraWeb used to be a Nevrona product for a while. Atozed formed when I left and took IW with me.
2018-04-12T10:34:32
I wrote the original PDF export for Rave and a few other pieces.
2018-04-12T10:34:56
Yes.I´, remembering this now, first time I hear about Indy.
2018-04-12T10:35:35
and look in the dictionary what does Kudzu means.????
2018-04-12T10:36:13
type: link https://www.kudzuworld.com/kudzu/
2018-04-12T10:36:44
And I brought IW to Nevrona... I took it with me when I left Shoreline too and brought it to Nevrona.
2018-04-12T10:37:04
I'm a hard core dev, hate the business part.. but IW really took off once I decided to handle both sides - business and tech.
2018-04-12T10:37:48
At one point offered it to Webhub.... but they weren't interested... That was really early on though..
2018-04-12T10:37:51
They´re really bad in the business side, and some versions of Rave Reports were really bug
2018-04-12T10:37:55
buggy
2018-04-12T10:38:24
But since I only use the code based version,I never cared about.
2018-04-12T10:38:27
Its hard when its just a small business.
2018-04-12T10:39:09
Not as good as VPE but costs 10% and is also awesome.
2018-04-12T10:44:32
Amazing that Nevrona's website template is almost 2o years old.. same as when I was there. I think I may even have been the one who did that one.
2018-04-12T10:48:42
The multiple suicide attempts of Delphi's owners in the 2000s took a lot of tolls though on 3Ps :(
