Select Database Engine

Embedded Database

Selecting the embedded database engine is the easiest option as it does not require any further configuration. We recommend using that with your first installation.

Remote FireBird Server

If you uncheck the "embedded" option, then you have to specify an external FireBird server, which may reside on the same physical machine or even on a remote server. You need to ask your FireBird administrator for a user account that IWS is allowed to use.
