AtoZed Software is pleased to announce the release of version 5 of its award-winning product IntraWeb. Version 5 has dramatic improvements over previous versions. Apart from the numerous new features, IntraWeb 5 takes advantage of advanced browser technology, providing the end-user with more flexibility and power while developing Web Applications.

IntraWeb is now supported by not only Borlands Delphi product but also Borlands Kylix 2 and C++ Builder. IntraWeb is the only tool on the market of similar characterisitics that allows the developer to choose between a wide range of development platforms, without restricting them to certain editions of these platforms. In fact, IntraWeb is supported by both Professional and Enterprise versions of Delphi and C++ Builder.

Following with the market tendency, AtoZed Software now provides different licensing schemes for IntraWeb. Apart from the pre-existing Developer and Enterprise editions, there is also a Personal edition available and a Lite edition that is completely free for non-profit development.

Many new features

Version 5 includes a whole list of new features. Many new components, improvements on existing components and additional deployment options. Yet again, IntraWeb provides the end-user with the choice of how to develop and deploy applications; flexibility where it counts!

New features include:

WYSYWIG Editor. IntraWeb contains a new layout manager called flow layout with an integrated WYSIWYG editor for editing your forms just as you would an HTML page in Front Page or Dreamweaver. It includes support for fonts, tables, and more. It even allows you to edit and work with your IntraWeb components live!
Preview. Forms can now be previewed as they will appear in the browser (including effects of layout managers) without the need to run the application. Simply right click on the form and select Preview.
Alignment and Anchors. Take control over your component positions with this powerful feature. Just like a normal Delphi application, you can position and size your components within the form using the Align and Anchor properties.
File-upload. Uploading files in application-mode has simply become a dragndrop operation. Not only can you have multiple files uploaded at the same time, but you can also link the files to a database field and have the record updated automatically.
Improved Rendering Engine. The rendering engine has been optimized to take advantage of browser that fully implement HTML 4 and style sheets allowing for more powerful features of the browsers to be used and for more dynamic pages.
Client-side data. Want to have your information stored in the browser? Now with the client-side data components of IntraWeb 5 you can have read-only data embedded in the browser and allow your clients to navigate back and forth without further requests to the server.
Mozilla Support. Full support for Mozilla based browsers.
Multiple browser support in Debug Window. The debug window now can launch multiple browsers for easier testing.
Debug Form Component. The debug window's functionality has now been encapsulated into a component that allows you to easily build your own custom stand alone servers.
Multiple Development Platforms. IntraWeb can now be used in Kylix 2 Enterprise and C++ Builder.
