Browser Specific HTML

IntraWeb automatically detects the browser adjusting and optimizing the HTML for each browser, all transparently to you. In addition, IntraWeb knows about certain bugs in specific versions of browsers and even works around those bugs for you.

Browser Statistics

More information on browser usage statistics can be found at the following resources:

  • TheCounter.com Usage Statistics - TheCounter.com is a server side statistics service which gathers its statistics from tens of thousands of sites and over 750,000 users per hours. This is probably the best source of average statistics for Internet use. Click on month, then "browsers" on the right.

Notes

  1. For IE 5, 5.5 is strongly recommended. IE 5.0 has some serious Javascript and security flaws causing some functions not to operate properly. Very few users are in fact using IE 5.0 because installing the required service packs from Microsoft update IE to 5.5.
  2. Release versions only. Betas and preview releases are not supported and may or may not function properly.
  3. A few select features may not work properly in Opera.
