This FAQ includes questions and answers related to the Delphi 7 IntraWeb bundled version. If you have purchased a separate IntraWeb license, these questions and answers no longer apply.

I am a Delphi 7 user, but have not purchased an IntraWeb license. What upgrades will I receive?

Delphi7 ships with IntraWeb 5.0 and Delphi 7 users have a bundled IntraWeb license. Delphi 7 users do not have a subscription as registered IntraWeb users do. Delphi 7 users can receive:

• 5.0 - All updates to 5.0. Updates to 5.0 are already available on the download page.
• 5.1 - IntraWeb 5.1 is also a free update to Delphi 7 users and is also available on the download page.
• 6.0 - IntraWeb 6.0 and higher are not free upgrades for Delphi 7 users. A trial version of IntraWeb 7.0 is available on the download page.

Is the full version of IntraWeb included in Delphi 7?

• Delphi 7 Professional contains IntraWeb Page Edition.
• Delphi 7 Enterprise contains the full version of IntraWeb Enterprise Edition.

Is the IntraWeb in Delphi 7 Professional an evaluation edition?

No.

Delphi 7 Professional contains IntraWeb Page Edition. Page mode is fully functional in Delphi 7 Professional. Delphi 7 however also allows for evaluation of Application mode which is not part of the Page Edition.

I have Delphi 7 Professional, what benefits would I receive by purchasing IntraWeb?

Delphi 7 Professional includes IntraWeb Page Edition. Upgrading to IntraWeb Enterprise Edition will provide you with:

• All the benefits listed in "I have Delphi 7 Enterprise, what benefits would I receive by purchasing IntraWeb?". (See next question)
• An upgrade from Page Edition to Enterprise Edition which provides many more capabilities.

I have Delphi 7 Enterprise / Architect, what benefits would I receive by purchasing IntraWeb?

Delphi 7 Enterprise / Architect contains a full licensed version of IntraWeb 5 Enterprise. However there are some benefits of purchasing an IntraWeb subscription.

• Support - Support is provided by Atozed Staff only to users with current IntraWeb subscriptions. Users with IntraWeb licenses included in Delphi 7 should contact Borland about support options provided by Borland or use our peer support newsgroups.
• Upgrades - Delphi 7 users will receive free updates to the 5.x version. Delphi 7 users will receive free updates to IntraWeb 5.0 as well as 5.1. Registered users receive all updates and upgrades for the length of their subscription. IntraWeb 6.0 is already under way, and will only be available to registered users. IntraWeb 6.0 contains many new and exciting features unseen in any other web development tool.
• Beta Access - Registered users have access to beta products before release and opportunities to closer influence future development of the IntraWeb product line.
• Delphi 5, Delphi 6, Kylix and C++ Builder Support - Registered users have licenses that permit use of IntraWeb in Delphi 5, Delphi 6, C++ Builder, and Kylix (Versions 2 and 3).
• Source Code Purchase Option - Registered users have an option to purchase IntraWeb source code.

Are there any royalties or runtime fees for deploying an IntraWeb application?

No.

IntraWeb is licensed per developer only. There are no royalties or runtime fees for deploying your applications built with IntraWeb. IntraWeb is licensed in a manner similar to Delphi itself.

Will my key work in Delphi 8 or Kylix?

Only registered (purchased) keys will work in versions of Delphi other than 7. Delphi 7 bundled keys will not work in any other version of Delphi.

Can I buy Delphi 7 Professional and then purchase IntraWeb Enterprise instead of buying Delphi 7 Enterprise?

Yes, IntraWeb Enterprise works with Delphi 7 Professional. Simply purchase the IntraWeb Edition of your choice and follow the installation directions.

I am a registered user, will I receive the update to Delphi 7 for free?

IntraWeb is sold on an upgrade and support subscription basis. All users whose subscription terms are current will receive an update of IntraWeb for Delphi 7 free of charge. Please see the download page for information.
