Indy News

Welcome!

Welcome to the current edition of Indy news, published every so often. :)

Indy 9.0 Release

Indy 9.0 has been frozen for a few weeks now with only critical changes being applied. It should be considered release candidate code. Official release will probably come in late July if no major problems are found. Please note that the releases are quite dated and to get this version of Indy you must obtain the Indy Development Snapshot. You can obtain this by pulling a snapshot from our VCS by using the FTP link on the Indy download page.

Atozed Indy Portal

The Atozed Indy Portal (www.atozedsoftware.com) is still under construction but a lot of new content has been added, and much more to come. Be sure to check it for new demos, new articles, and more.

New Demos

There are about a dozen demos still yet to come online, but Remote BSOD has been posted. Not only is it a good demo, but its a fun office prank. The Remote BSOD Invocator is a great office gag to invoke fake BSOD's remotely with optional funny haiku errors. Great for office gags or to drive Dilbert boss types crazy.

Available at the Atozed Indy Portal (www.atozedsoftware.com).

New Articles

Connection Closed Gracefully

What is the EIdConnClosedGracefully exception? Why do I see this exception in my code?

Many Indy users are annoyed by the EIdConnClosedGracefully exception that is raised with Indy servers, especially the HTTP and other servers. EIdConnClosedGracefully is an exception signaling that the connection has been closed by the other side intentionally......
