Open source software is fantastic, but often lacks support. Indy Experts Support solves this problem for Indy. Indy Experts Support provides your company with priority e-mail and phone support in a very cost effective manner.

Support Account

Support is based on a system of units. Units can be purchased in non-refundable prepaid amounts. Once your account is established, support incidents are deducted from your account. Statements of activity are sent on a regular basis as well as when your account runs low.

There are no monthly charges and your account balance carries forward without expiration.

Support Correspondence

The core of Indy Experts Support is web based support system. Once your account is activated you will be given instructions how to create an account and a voucher to add credits to your account. You can then use this web based system to submit questions. Your messages will only be seen by the Indy Experts, and not other members of the service. We will then respond with an answer, or further questions to assist us in providing an answer. If our response is minimal and consists of inquiries for further information, we may mark the response non billable at our discretion.

Priority Bug Fixes

Indy is open source and developed by volunteers and the community at large. Code is controlled and is not a free for all. However because it is developed by volunteers bugs are fixed at the teams discretion. We however realize that you rely on Indy and that sometimes you need bugs fixed with priority and do not have time nor desire to fix them yourselves.

For such situations we offer priority bug fixes. With priority bug fixes you agree to pay a reduced rate for the Indy Experts to fix your bug and contribute the fix to the Indy Core. We reduce the rate as our contribution to the Open Source effort, you pay a reduced rate and get the priority bug fixes that you require, and the Open Source effort benefits as well. All such bug fixes are pre-authorized by you and we will provide an estimate to you before hand as well as status reports on lengthier projects. The code becomes property of the Indy project.

Code Authoring and Debugging

At your request we can provide code snippets, create small custom projects, and even debug code sent to us by you. We will only perform such work at your explicit request and will request authorization and provide a time estimate if the work will require a significant amount of time.

SSL Support

Please note that we are experts on sockets, TCP/IP and Indy. SSL is a field of its own. We can assist in getting Indy's SSL features working, but can provide only minimal support regarding certificates or specifics of SSL.

Phone Support

We focus on e-mail support, however phone support can be provided at your request. You can call us, or we can call you. All phone support must be arranged in advance and pre-authorized by you. We also reserve the right to charge a higher unit per minute rate for calling you if the telephone charges to your country are excessive. In such a case, a unit per minute rate will be determined and pre-authorized by you.
