Macro Systems, Inc. needed a way to leverage its considerable Delphi experience and quickly build a web application product. The product will allow telecommunication carriers and its resellers to manage their customers, call detail records and billing. It also needed to provide access to data based on the users security level. The adding of new customers phone numbers and provisioning those numbers to the long distance carrier in a timely manner is very critical.
Solution
IntraWeb allowed Macro Systems, Inc. to create a solution and deploy it securely using the Internet and SSL encryption. Because the system is entirely browser based it was easily deployed and worked well in both low bandwidth and high bandwidth situations. The system can be easily upgraded by simply upgrading the server software with no installation changes to any client machines. Certain modules of the system can also be accessed by customers to perform inquires, place orders and check status.
