General guidelines before getting started with the demos

How to deploy a standalone application demo?

The two very important things when deploying an standalone application are: make sure you keep the directory structure and make sure the port your application will listen on is not already taken by another application. If these two requirements are fulfilled, just start the .exe and your demo will be ready to serve the client browsers.

How does a standalone demo work?

Standalone demos are executables that embed an web server. To access this kind of demo, type {http://localhost:port} in the browser's window.

What to do about the HTML 3.2 demos?

If you do not have a HMTL 3.2 browser, you can still test these kind of demos. In the Server Controller window, click the button saying HTML 3.2, and then launch one of the available browsers from the menu.

How do I test the WAP demos?

The WAP demos can be tested in the same manner as the HTML 3.2 demos. In the server's  window, enable the WAP protocol. All the future requests from the browsers will be interpreted as coming from WAP browsers.
